FEATURES:
Automated Operation
Wide Frequency Range
Rugged Portable Enclosure
Integrated GPS
Signal Level or Field Strength Logging
150 kHz to 4 GHz Frequency Range
The RF Field Strength Logging System, Model: DELTACOM-XRS, is a broadband, real-time, signal coverage measurements, field strength mapping system. The DELTACOM-XRS employs an integrated GPS receiver to display and sore geographical co-ordinates of the measured signals. The logged data includes: time, date, latitude, longtitude, and altitude. Signal levels can be measured in µV, dBm or S-units, and field strength can be displayed in µV/m or dBµV/m. Instantaneous, peak or average values can be displayed, and calculated over user-definable intervals.
The logs use a flexible format, defined by the user, making the data easy to import into popular GIS packages for further processing. A provision also exists to specify the antenna factor of calibrated antennas for various frequencies, to achieve accurate measurements of field strength.
The DELTACOM-XRS is enclosed in a rugged enclosure that contains the controlling computer, receiver and rechargeable battery all of which can be powered from a vehicle's 12V DC power outlet or from mains power. The enclosure features dual fans for cooling and built-in fuses protect system components. The GPS, radio receiver and power connectors are conveniently located in a recess on the side of the enclosure and can be accessed with the lid closed. An integrated LED display shows the built-in battery's power reserve at the press of a button.
